Lost in the 90s

Stone Protectors

Stone Protectors is a beat-’em-up game for the Sega Mega Drive based on the 1993 animated series of the same name. Originally developed by Eurocom and planned for release by VIC Tokai, the Mega Drive version was cancelled in the 1990s despite being nearly complete. It resurfaced in 2010 and was later revived by Piko Interactive through a successful 2021 Kickstarter campaign. The polished version was officially released in 2022, featuring bug fixes, updated packaging, and additional extras like a mini-poster. Players take control of one of five Stone Protectors, each with unique abilities, to battle their way through levels filled with enemies and hazards.
