Mega Casanova 2 is a story prequel to Mega Casanova XXX and, like its predecessor, is based on a Java mobile game later ported to the Sega Mega Drive by Russian developer Timur Lyazgiev. Released in October 2021, the game was made available both as a ROM and as a limited physical cartridge release.
The story follows a photojournalist who visits the protagonist’s apartment because its window provides a perfect view of a nightclub’s back entrance, where a celebrity is expected to appear. Gameplay remains largely unchanged from the previous title, focusing on simple dialogue choices and a handful of branching events. As before, the experience is short and easy to exhaust, but the soundtrack helps it stand out thanks to its 16-bit arrangements of songs by the Russian punk rock band Sektor Gaza.
