Coloco DX

Coloco DX is an enhanced 16-bit remake of Coloco, a 2020 title originally released for the ZX Spectrum and Amstrad CPC. The game was reimagined and expanded for the Sega Mega Drive, bringing smoother gameplay, improved graphics, and a refined soundtrack. It’s not easy to pin down its genre — a mix of action, physics, and puzzle elements built around mastering inertia and gravity to control a fragile rescue ship.

Each level tasks players with piloting their craft from a base to a stranded ally, picking them up, and safely returning. The challenge lies in precision: every bump and misjudged landing risks disaster. On easy mode, you get three hit points; on medium, a single crash means instant destruction. The game includes three worlds with ten stages each, plus a reward for completion — two bonus visual modes styled after the ZX Spectrum and Amstrad CPC originals.
