Bailey the Brave is a small arcade-style action game for the Sega Mega Drive, created as an indie project and described by its author as a tribute to their own dog. The premise is simple and charming: you control a collie herding sheep back into their pen across a series of increasingly chaotic pastures.
There are two types of sheep — white and black. White sheep are more obedient, while black sheep tend to wander off and break formation. Periodically, a UFO appears and turns white sheep into black ones, adding pressure to the situation. Bailey can bark to both scare off the UFO and push sheep in the desired direction, but barking consumes a limited resource that slowly regenerates. While the core idea is creative, the mechanics feel imprecise at times, which makes the overall experience less satisfying than it could have been.
