Amshay is a falling-block puzzle game for the Sega Mega Drive that blends classic Tetris-style mechanics with its own set of rules. Blocks made of concrete and diamonds drop into the well: concrete clears when full lines are completed, while diamonds disappear only when surrounded on all four sides by concrete. Adding to the chaos, strange little creatures also fall into the playfield and must be captured in the same way.
The game’s main hook is collection. Each creature you trap is added to an in-game gallery, with 100 unique characters to discover, giving Amshay its replay value. Although the game was later released on Steam, that version simply runs the original Mega Drive ROM via emulation rather than being a true port.
