Metal Slug Warfare is a fan-made tribute to the iconic run-and-gun series, reimagined for the Sega Mega Drive. Developed by Studio Vetea, this demo showcases an impressive level of pixel art and captures the explosive spirit of the Metal Slug franchise, despite hardware limitations.
The game includes two playable levels where your main goal is to earn enough points by defeating enemies and rescuing hostages. As your score increases, so does the enemy count, gradually ramping up the difficulty. You’re equipped with both a firearm and grenades, and can collect power-ups to enhance your firepower. The fast-paced gameplay and scoring system offer a compelling loop — even if the entire experience can be completed in under 10 minutes.
