Go! Go! PogoGirl is a fast-paced 2D platformer that originally launched on Steam in 2022 and was later ported to the Sega Mega Drive in August 2025. The game was designed as a heartfelt homage to 16-bit classics, so bringing it to Sega’s 16-bit hardware was a natural next step. The Mega Drive version was re-created entirely from scratch in assembly by veteran developer Spacepants Games, ensuring it feels like a true native title from the console’s golden era.
Gameplay revolves around guiding the ever-bouncing PogoGirl through colorful levels filled with pits, spikes, and mischievous creatures. Players can master various pogo-based techniques such as charged jumps and downward attacks to navigate obstacles and collect gems. The rhythm of the bouncing movement is the key — once you get into the flow, the game becomes both challenging and satisfyingly smooth.
