Gluf is a colorful puzzle-platformer developed by RetroSouls for the Sega Mega Drive. Originally released for the ZX Spectrum, this 16-bit version enhances the experience with vivid pixel art, smooth performance, and an upbeat chiptune soundtrack tailored for extended play sessions. It maintains a minimalist structure while embracing classic puzzle logic and arcade sensibilities.
In each level, you control a small frog-like robot that must energize all the floor tiles by stepping on them. The core mechanic is simple: charge yourself using battery tiles and then transfer that charge by walking across other tiles. As levels grow more complex, players must plan their movements carefully to avoid running out of energy. It’s a classic “trial and error” setup, with a fair difficulty curve and relaxing pace.
